Character of the place
Togari sits low — its base station is at 315 m — and that's its character. Slopes start in proper old village streets, end in beech forest above, and the in-between is gentle. Two ski areas, sixteen runs, and a handful of family-run minshuku still operating from the 1970s. The pricing reflects the obscurity: kominka here can be one third of what Nozawa equivalents trade for.
Who tends to buy here
Restorers. Buyers who want a substantial kominka project on a budget and don't mind being twenty minutes from the nearest convenience store.
Things to know before you offer
Older kominka here may sit on boundaries that have never been formally surveyed. We include 確定測量 (formal boundary survey) in our DD pack for every Togari listing.
